Boyd, Bridcutt and Mackay-Steven included in Scotland squad

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan named the squad this afternoon for his first competitive action since taking the job, and included the uncapped trio of George Boyd, Liam Bridcutt and Gary Mackay-Steven. Scotland face Wales on Friday 22nd March at Hampden before travelling to the Karadorde Stadium in Novi Sad to play Serbia the following Tuesday.

Match review: Luxembourg 1-2 Scotland

Scotland fans weren’t asking for too much last night, they weren’t expecting a goals avalanche or some tiki-taka themed football. Just a reason or two to look to the future and say “well maybe it’s not that bad”. Perhaps it wasn’t the fixture to look for it, after all most people had derided the fixture in some shape way or form over the last week.
