Under-21s: Bulgaria 2-2 Scotland

Scotland’s Under-21 side came within moments of an important victory against Bulgaria in Lovech last week, denied the three points with the final kick of the game. Having trailed 1-0 at half time, two goals from Jordan Rhodes put Scotland on course for their third win of the campaign, but a scrappy equaliser from Cherno More centre back Rosen Kolev rescued a point for the home side.

Scotland rise to 41st in the world

Scotland have risen seven places in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking list. Despite their recent 5-1 humiliation at the hands of the U.S.A., the Scots are now ranked 41 in the world, jumping above the likes of Mali and 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winners, Zambia.

USA 5-1 Scotland: Reaction

The Scotland national team ended their season in the early hours of Sunday morning with a comprehensive and humbling defeat at the hands of the USA in Jacksonville, Florida. The USA’s movement between the lines and speed on the break destroyed Scotland as thoroughly as local singer Victoria Zarlenga did the American national anthem before the match.
